What do you want the students to learn?
- Students will learn the effects of weathering events on our playground.
- Students will be able to identify growth, erosion, dissolving, deposition, and weathering.

- GPS unit
- Digital camera
- Clipboard
- Journals
- Pencils
What steps will the students take?
- Students will find examples of weathering, erosion, and deposition on the campus grounds.
- Record GPS location.
- Take photos with digital camera.
- Record observation in journal.
- Label the type of weathering.
Extra Activities?
- Research famous landmarks created through weathering.
- Create a map/model of your campus with weathering samples labeled.
- Create a 3-D model example of weathering.
