Activity Description: Describe in as much detail as possible.
What do you want the students to learn?
- TLW be able to record distances (per mile) and ranges of various locations on our campus.
- TLW create a bar graph of the location elevations.
Set-up
- GPS, graph paper
- Marked locations with cones
What steps will the students take?
- Students will find waypoints of areas related to science such as the pond; wetlands, woodlands, and grasslands.
- TLW find the range of the high elevation and low elevation.
- TLW create a graph to compare elevations.
