Activity Description: Describe in as much detail as possible.
What do you want the students to learn?
- Interpret how land forms result from constructive and destructive forces.
Set-up
- Find different examples of weathering and erosion of landforms on Google Earth (Grand Canyon, Tent Rocks, deltas, etc…).
What steps will the students take?
- Discuss GPS, basics on how it works.
- Explain Google Earth and go to first picture.
- Have students predict what might have caused the landforms (pan the picture).
- Discuss what weathering, erosion, and deposition has really take place.
Extra Activities?
- Take students outside to take pictures of weathering, erosion, and deposition.
