Activity Description: Describe in as much detail as possible.
What do you want the students to learn?
- Students will experience how topography can influence speed and distance.
- Students will learn to use GPS and understand basic technology.
Set-up
- GPS – Mark route for student to travel.
What steps will the students take?
- Problem: How does terrain influence speed?
- Hypothesis: Predict which terrain will generate the greatest speed and distance.
- Record data: Time and Distance.
- Graph information.
- Read conclusion.
